Xpel Armor for Rocker PanelsUpdated 2 days ago

please refer to the video below.

If the Armor is curled after shipping, just lay it out flat(ish) for a few minutes and it'll soon flatten out.

Here is a step-by-step tutorial on how to install the expel armor protection for the rockers on your Cybertruck, based on the provided video:

Kit Overview

  • The kit includes driver and passenger side sections, an instruction sheet, and a squeegee [01:35].
  • The armor has a spray-on truck liner texture and enhances the Cybertruck's trim [00:47].

Surface Preparation

  • Ensure the surface is clean, especially if trim enhancers have been used [01:52].
  • Use alcohol or soapy water to remove grease and wax [02:05].

Installation Steps

  1. Remove the Tesla mud flaps, if installed [02:21].
  2. Spray down the surface to ensure it is clean [03:07].
  3. Install in alphabetical order, starting with piece 'A' [03:49].
  4. Align each piece carefully, matching seams and edges [05:38].
  5. Use the squeegee to apply pressure and remove bubbles [05:18].
  6. For longer pieces, like 'D' and 'E', align the top edge and work your way down [08:20], [10:44].
  7. Ensure no tension when tucking in edges [12:14].
  8. Maintain a symmetrical gap of about 5mm between pieces [13:24].
  9. For the final piece, 'G', align with the existing section and ensure proper placement under the door [14:31].

Additional Tips

  • Lifting the truck can make the installation easier [10:05].
  • Install inside to prevent dust from getting underneath the PPF [09:02].
  • Consider armor protection for the area above the rocker panels as well [13:51].
